The year 2014 gives us a total of five supermoons: two January new moons, and the full moons of July, August and September. January 1, 2014 is the first supermoon of the year, and January 30 is the second. Thus January 2014 has two supermoons in a single calendar month. We won’t have a single calendar month with two supermoons again until January 2018. For more info on Super Moons: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Supermoon
